Participant information
To complete this workshop, you will need:
- Before this session, you should have completed the New organiser questionnaire. We’ve used this to set up a PlaceCal site for your community.
- You should have received an email inviting you to set up your PlaceCal account. Please check you have this – you’ll need the account later in this workshop.
- The workshop should take about 1 hour.
- Please let us know if you have any other access requirements.
- What we won’t cover: detailed information about creating and linking calendars. That’s for next time!

Things that need to happen before completing this session
- Send New organiser questionnaire to participants and chase for completion at least a day in advance of training
- Make a GitHub ticket using this link to request a new site is created
- Set up user accounts on PlaceCal for each site organiser and set them as partnership and/or neighbourhood admin as appropriate, and site admin for the relevant site

Recap of last session
In the first training session we looked at an overview of what PlaceCal and CTPs are, identified the scope of our PlaceCal sites, set up our partnership tracker and laid the groundwork for making connections in the community. In this session, we’re going to look more practically at how PlaceCal works and put some of the homework into practice by adding our first partners to our PlaceCal sites.
